Dear Parents, 

We have reached October and students are settling into their routines and making progress.  There are a few upcoming events I would like to share with you for the month of October.  

October 17-21 will be our official school spirit week. Since we don’t have any sports teams, we don’t call it Homecoming but that is basically what it is. We will have theme dress days and some other special events so please keep this information handy. We will also have this posted on our website.

Monday, October 17th – Hawaiian Day Student and staff will dress in their brightest and craziest Hawaii and luau attire. Let’s shine some sun and have some fun!

Tuesday, October 18th – Blue/Gold Day Students and staff will wear official Ranch Academy clothing or they can choose to wear Royal Blue and Yellow/Gold since those are our official colors. Look for more info to follow on shirts for sale soon! Phoenix Pride!

Wednesday, October 19th – Western Day Students and staff may wear western attire and cowboy hats (no other hats) on this day. It isn’t called The Ranch Academy for nothing!!

Thursday, October 20th – Decades Day Students and Staff may choose to wear themed clothing from the decades (50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s) Please make sure all clothing is school appropriate.

Friday, October 21st - Spirit Day Students should wear blue/gold or official Ranch Academy gear and they are also allowed to wear mums and garters to school this day. (see guidelines for mums and garters)
On Tuesday, October 18th we will be hosting a student/family event and Bonfire up on the Big Hill at Sundown Ranch. There will be food and games so we encourage you to join us. The students will go there during 8th period and the event will end at 6:30 p.m. All students must be picked up no later than 6:30 p.m. back on the school campus if you are unable to attend. If you do not want your child to attend the event and would like to pick them up at regular dismissal time, please let them know in advance so we can make sure they will be back to campus at dismissal time. There will be signs directing you to the location of the event as you drive onto campus so please bring a lawn chair and join us. We will be asking for students to let us know how many from your family will be attending so we can plan for food so let them know by Friday, October 14th.
